DXE Medical and AED.com Donate Five New AEDs

June 1st-7th is the national week dedicated to AED/CPR Awareness. During this week AED.com/DXE Medical teamed up with one of their manufacturers, ZOLL Medical, to give away five brand new ZOLL AED Plus units. After hundreds of entries, 5 very deserving companies were randomly drawn.

About the winners:

Day 1: Restoration Community Church – Restoration Community Church (pictured above along with DXE employees, Scott and Jerilyn) is located in Spring Hill, TN. The church began its service in a school gymnasium and has grown into its own building within a few years. They have been interested in an AED for a while, so this new AED will be well appreciated!

Day 2: ESR – ESR is an amazing non-profit organization that helps disabled adults become a part of the community and local workforce. They have been trying to acquire grant money for an AED for a while now and haven’t been successful bringing it to fruition.

Day 3: 1st Choice Healthcare – 1st Choice Healthcare is a non-profit clinic open to all residents. The clinic provides tailored healthcare costs that reflect the patient’s income.

Day 4: Solid Ground – Solid Ground is another non-profit team in Minnesota that focuses on helping the homeless become self-sufficient through counseling and discounted housing efforts. The office of 17 people provide service to around 300 families per year. Their office is also attached to 37 housing units for their clients.

Day 5: The Douglas County EMA: The Emergency Management Agency in Douglas County, Illinois received a donated AED through the efforts of the County Coroner and EMA Director, who has been a part of the community for 40 years and saw the need for an AED on hand.

DXE/AED.com is thrilled to be able to contribute to not only these companies, but their communities as well. Each building these AEDs will be housed in has employees and community members occupying them at all times. Congratulations to all of the winners!
