Babysitting Basics Online Training

Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this thorough online course will help prepare you to be a safer babysitter. Created by the American Red Cross, this course is a great certification to add to any babysitter's credentials to help build confidence with both the babysitter and family. The course consists of six interactive modules features videos, activities, games and tools you can use to buld your knowledge and skills in babysitting and creating a babysitting business. This online learning course Class is approximately 4 hours in length.

• Providing care for infancts and children
• Staying safe and responding during an emergency
• Choosing age-appropriate activities
• Recognizing and handling a variety of children/infant behaviors
• Basics to start a babysitting business

Ideal for individuals such as 

• Babysitters
• Teens who are intended to watch younger siblings
• Family members who are intended to watch children on a frequent basis

This course does not meet OSHA requirements and does not fulfill BLS requirements.

What to Expect

• Registration: After purchasing, you will need to input the information for the student(s) intended to take the class. You will do this either via your order confirmation screen or the registration email. 
• Learning: Approximately 15 minutes after inputting student information, the student will receive an email with a link to begin the class. Progress is saved as you go along. Be sure to reference the requirements below for optimal learning experience.
• Certificate: Once the student completes the learning and passes the class, a certificate of completion is issued. This will be emailed to the student approximately 4 hours after completion.
