How The AED and Defibrillator Preventative Maintenance Packages Work

When you are ready to purchase the Preventative Maintenance Package you will first be asked to select your AED model followed by providing its serial number. Once checkout is complete, the Cardio Partners team will reach out to help get the 10-point inspection started. The inspection process is as follows:

1. The AED is thoroughly cleaned
2. The AED is packed according to shipping regulations
3. Tracking information is submitted to the manufacturer
4. A visual inspection is performed to ensure the AED is in acceptable cosmetic condition
5. AED is upgraded to current AHA guidelines
6. AED is turned on for a self-test
7. AED performance information is recorded and stored
8. Each AED is connected to a defibrillator analyzer to assure joule output is within FDA guidelines
9. New pads and batteries are installed if required (additional cost)
10. Battery and pad expiration dates are recorded
